The ContextIt is important that faculty must develop presentation skills, subject knowledge, and research orientation in order to provide the worth learning propositions to the students. From a traditional teaching perspective technology plays a huge part in developing such skills and information transfer on new trends and technology. Forums provide a platform for information transfer and helps professional development of teachers through continuous thinking and sharing of knowledge among faculties of respective domains from sister concerned institutions. It pays attention in enhancing subject knowledge, research orientation and communication skills of teachers and fills the gap between curriculum and technological development.
The PracticeFaculty Forum is one of the unique traditions of our institution. The Forum activity is scheduled in such a way that each faculty selects minimum three topics in an academic year. In each session faculties of respective stream engage in presentations (minimum of 45 mins) followed by discussion about the identified topics essentially on recent trends and technology. Through the Forum, the faculties participate in the discussion, post their ideas and react to content shared by the topic discussed by the faculty member..
